Rin Uehara (上原 燐) is an elite Taimanin, and a teacher at Gosha Academy.
She is mentioned since Taimanin Asagi 2 but appeared for the first time in Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena.
Personality[]
Rin is a strong-willed and stubborn Taimanin, who is strict, feared but also respected by her students even when she demands a lot. Rin is protective of her students, to the best of her abilities, and seems to be one of the Taimanin first called for rescue.
Though only cousins, she shares a sisterly/parental bond with Uehara Shikanosuke, in his case she can be even overprotective, she is aware that at times this can be even scary to Shikanosuke, when she attacks those that harm him.

Rin is a veteran Taimanin and often on missions
Though it is stated, that she is only a temporary exchange teacher, she seems to be very often in this role. As a teacher, she observes field training classes. As an active Taimanin she takes part of annihilation or raid missions and has gained absolute trust from the higher-ups.
As a user of Lightning arts; possessing even greater control than Yukikaze, she gained a level of fame among Taimanin. Because of that, Rin is called Lightning Bolt/Volt by her students, out of fear and respect. Rin is one of the strongest members of the Uehara clan, even though her cousin is meant to become the clan's leader, she is very protective of her cousin.

Rin never appears but is mentioned by name for the first time in the bad end route of Taimanin Asagi 2, year 2076, together with Murasaki.
Both, could be part of a rescue team for Asagi and Sakura. Unseen but mentioned by name, presumably, they are also captured as they rush into a trap set by an Oboro, which had taken control of the Dragon Gate Hideout from her clone, and was now using an Asagi and Sakura clone, to wait for an ambush.
It can be concluded that Rin was Murasaki's teacher at this point. During Taimanin Asagi 3, she is not mentioned, which could suggest she was either away like other Taimanin or had been captured.
Timeline TABA[]
Follows the timeline of the main universe but Taimanin Asagi 3, does not take place and instead Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena, plays out from the year 2082.
Fuuma Kotaro (TABA) a criminal Rogue Taimanin, which during the time of their encounter was searching for the mastermind in Task Force G, which was after his head. Learned from his contact, Alberta, lead contact, which had been guarded as part of a mission by the Taimanin, Shido Rinka. As Kotaro defeated the assassins of "G", he made his way to Rinka and defeated her in combat, freezing her limbs, with a stolen ability. Hoping to gain all the information he could from the Taimanin, he planned to break her and enslave her for now.
As Kotaro's aid Fuuma Tokiko, arrived and both were ready to leave, with their captive, Rin intercepted. Almost killed by her lighting, Kotaro survived because of a third party interruption of the UFS (Task Force G). A mass-produced Saya, chased Rin off and now hunted Kotaro as well. Able to escape both the Taimanin and "G". Kotaro was able to secure Rinka, leaving Rin behind for now.
While, Rin plays afterward no greater role, Rinka is later returned to the Taimanin.
Timeline RPGX[]
Rins cousin Uehara Shikanosuke, is introduced as a friend of Fuuma Kotaro. She herself has taught Kotaro in this timeline, which is much younger and still part of Gosha Academy.
Appears, during the mission and rescue of teacher Sanada Homura, from Katsuragi (Spider Lady). Has many minor appearances during, the Major and Fuuma Saika encounter, Saionji Bakuto and Louis The Shaman events but plays no big role.
Her cousin wants to take Rin on a trip to a normally peaceful village. However, both encounter a mysterious fog and monsters. Solving the case of the village, they defeat the "Hidden God" responsible, that first disguised himself as an old man (Abe Yumei-like). Overpowering the Otherworld being with a combination of their lighting powers. Rin appears in other events around Gosha Village, as one of Kotaro's teachers.
Rin, overlooks a race of Gosha, DSO and Nomad, the result of a drunken Igawa Asagi, Ingrid and Masked Taimanin, making a bet. She specially wishes to protect, Shikanosuke, that is one of the racers at the Tokyo Kingdom Circuit. As the UFS soldier, Mirabell Bell, is hunted down my Kanda Brigade mechs and forced to interrupt the race, asking for help. Rin destroys and attacks the PEX-00 Type Shusui and multiple PEX-88 Type Raiden.
Timeline Action[]
One of Fuuma Kotaro's substitute teachers. Rin becomes one of the targets of "Kageomi Kagenosuke" of Toyo's Rogue Ninjas, as part of a trap Rin, is forced to fight one of their shadow warriors and her DNA is taken. A clone of her is later created as a result. Rin and her clone fight at some point, but Rin has not yet fully realized it is a clone. (Ongoing)
Rin, was part of a mission to protect a "pro-nomad" politician (likely Yazaki Muneichi) from possible enemies, as Nomad had lost power. Together with Igawa Sakuya and Kannazuki Sora, they overlook his place for multiple days, but on the last one are attacked by Spinel and Lapis. Rin is defeated by Lapis and her current fate is unknown. The true target of the two oni mercenaries, is Sora.
Powers/Abilities[]
Main Weapon: Katana or dual short sword
- Ninja Art: "Lighting Art", Rin shares a lightning ability with Yukikaze, but she has greater control over it, even if it lacks the same destructive power.
- Able to conjure Lighting Blades. Uses these in a dual wielding style. Can also create multiple small blades, and let them fly hunting down enemies.
- Casts electrons around her body, protects herself by an electric barrier.
- Blinding electric attacks
- Particle Control: Taimanin are able to manipulate Taima Particles to enhance their physical strength, speed and defense. The particles are also used to counter demonic influences, and strengthen damage to demons.

- Unlike many of the newly introduced Taimanin in TABA her name was mentioned in Taimanin Asagi 2.
- She is called "Volt Taimanin" because it looks as if she glows with electricity as it flows through her body when using her lighting art.
- Her name can be translated to phosphorus, known for its bright chemical reaction with air.
- Height here is assumed from comparing character heights in Action Taimanin, with known character sizes and might not reflect the true height.
